Location scout

Location scout day-1

Suzanne, Tanya, Shail and I embarked on the scout for locations in London on 16th of March to get the desired places for the project. We started off early in the morning at 7:00 am from Northwick park and headed towards Riuslip Lido in search of beach, waterbody and forest. The next location was the Stanmore park in Stanmore where we looked for tall trees with leaves but found only dry hay and leafless trees. After spending hours there, we left for the last location called Bentley Prior Open Space. We walked for around 13 miles in total that day covering all the locations and settled with the decision of not using any of them. We carried the equipment to all the locations to get some B-roll and extra footage for experiment

Location scout day-2

Due to failing in getting the desired location on 1st day of the scout, we left for the second Journey. We headed the to Harrow on the by taking the longer route through the end of Northwick park on the way to the school as I had to show everyone a patch of forest behind the Northwick park golf course. After walking around the entire school, we settled on shooting in the school premises as it was not only beautiful but close to our campus.

Research on final location and production work

Suzanne, The producer, and I sat down in the library and walked through the pictures of the places that we had been to till then and further looked for more places. We had a whole list of places outside London including Lulworth Cove, Stonebridge and dorset country park. We preferred Lulworth Cove over all the other locations as it had all the amenities that were essential. We managed to have found the cheapest accommodation and closest to the Lulworth cove beach (10 mins walk) and even got a discount on the booking.
